Webinar Transcript:

Okay. Hello. Good morning or good afternoon or good evening. How are you? This is Hiro. Great. We’re already having some people signing up or joining this webinar. I see Elena. Great. So, can you type in something like where you’re calling from or joining this from, what time is it there? Today, I am in Los Angeles. So, I was in Kazakhstan for a couple of weeks. I came back here about a week ago. Now, finally, I was able to overcome the jet lag, and now, I’m fully functional, I will say.

Okay. Let’s get started. So, again, this is a webinar. I’m doing some different webinars, but this one is about conflict resolution. So, many of you know that I moved to Los Angeles. I’m starting a new company, and I’m starting my own modality, which is called Ascenting.

This modality, a new method that I’m introducing, Ascenting, is coming out of many of my studies in the past about meditation, healing, coaching, and also my own experience going through a very challenging emotional period in the past, and all together, putting it together. Now, I’m calling it Ascenting. The conflict resolution that I’m introducing today is the core part of it.

So, thank you for joining us. Well, let’s do some quick meditation first, a couple of minutes, mindfulness, basic meditation. It’s a couple of minutes to just bring your attention to this present moment. Many of you went through a busy day. So, for you to arrive at this moment in this meeting, let’s do a couple of silent time. I’m going to give you a very basic, easy, guided meditation, okay?

Guided Meditation

So, please take a relaxing position. Let’s take one deep breath. Let’s start a very comfortable, easy breathing. Let me give you this sound. Bring your attention to your breath. Breathing in, breathing out. Remember all the good things that happened throughout today. Remember the joy, happy feelings, lucky feelings. When you breathe in, you’re taking all these good feelings into your body, into your presence.

When you breathe out, you let go of all the energies that I used and ready to go, and feeling your body, your presence. It’s really refreshed, energized. Bring your attention back to your breath. Let’s take one deep breath and open your eyes. Okay. Okay. Let’s get started.

So, let me show some slides. Okay. So, I know many of you, I mean, I believe you already know me. Just quickly, let me introduce myself. So, who’s Hiro? So, I used to work in Corporate Japan, Corporate America mostly in financial companies, investment banking, stock trading. Back in 2006, I was having a challenge. I was stressed out, busy, busy days. The pay was good, and I had great teammates, but I was still stressed out and I was thinking like I felt lost. I was thinking maybe there’s something else I want to do in this life.

Back in 2007, I started meditation. I started learning emotional healings, spiritual healings. As you see in this picture, through healing and meditation, I changed my fear of height. To prove that the fear is gone, I started skydiving, and I got addicted to it, and I decided to jump by myself.

After that, I started shifting my career toward teaching meditation, teaching healing, giving sessions, and also giving coaching sessions. Now, I am a certified teacher for mindfulness. I do ThetaHealing, and I also do coaching sessions. I moved to Los Angeles last year. That’s who I am.

I have extensive hours of meditation because I’ve been doing this for more than 12 years. I taught many different countries. I trained different people from different countries. I did business consulting and coaching and healing sessions. So, now, that’s me. Today, yeah, conflict resolution.

So, what is conflict resolution. First of all, what is conflict? What do I mean by that? When I say conflict in this context, it is about in a conflict, the conflict between different parts of yourself, one part of yourself wanting to do something, another part of yourself having fear, having a limiting belief drag you down, and not being able to move forward. So, that’s two different parts of you, two different aspects of you that is conflicting.

Conflict resolution means there are two transformed. There’s part of you that is having fear or having limiting beliefs, and so that you can be empowered to make proactive action towards what you’re wanting to do.

So, in my previous, in healing, with that idea, I used to call this healing or resolving emotions. In coaching, we call it in different ways as well. In my company, I call it conflict resolution.

So, what are the kind of conflict that I see in my client sessions? My client comes in and say something like, “Hiro, I’m losing my business. My clients are decreasing. What should I do?” Then I do a conversation. I help them identify limiting beliefs or even fears, and help them resolve this through meditative techniques. Some people come in to say, “I have money issue. I need to resolve it,” or some other come and say, “I’m overwhelmed. I’m exhausted,” or even, “I lost my purpose in life. I want to find out what my passion is.”

So, when those people coming in for client coaching session, we work to identify what are the beliefs or perspective or emotions that are stopping them, and I do this meditation that I’m going to introduce later to resolve all those challenges. Yeah. Okay.

So, today, for the sake of introducing conflict resolution and also for the sake of letting you experience a meditation today, I like to present you this topic, self-worth, because self-worth is a pretty common topic, common challenges that people are bringing in to my client sessions.

So, what does it mean, self worth? How can it be the challenge for people? Self-worth means that how you see yourself, the value of yourself. Meaning, if you see yourself as small person, you have no skill, you have no significance, then you lose confidence. You don’t have confidence. If you don’t have confidence in yourself, it is difficult to bring up your capacity or power or creativity or resourcefulness. If you see yourself as very small or don’t have capacity, then it is difficult to make positive steps forward or it is difficult to create a proactive steps or ideas.

Somebody said that you only ask for what you believe you deserve. You only ask for what you believe you deserve. Meaning, if you feel you’re small, then you don’t ask for something bigger than yourself. So, it’s going to be reflected in many different areas of your life. Some bullet points that I’m showing here is a typical symptom that is showing up in your life or people’s lives, at workplaces or their private situations.

If you don’t have good self-worth, then people tend to feel insecure when they receive negative feedback. When they receive negative feedback, they feel their personality is at risk or their significance is at risk because they’re basing their significance on the feedback from others. So, negative feedback can really make them feel defensive, make them feel small and insecure. This is very challenging, especially in workplace situation.

Second one, extreme need for approval and recognition. This is similar to the first one, but it is like when you need to make decision, when you need to make a choice, you always ask for somebody’s approval or somebody’s okay. Even when that’s totally your decision to make, you are waiting for others to give approval. So, that also could be a big problem in workplaces, and in private life.

The last one is a very different one, successful but unhappy. So, I have a group of clients who are very, very successful, and they’re very rich like hundred million dollars rich, but they’re not happy. I mean, not all of them are happy at least. They come in and say they have a lot of fear of losing money, they feel insecure when they compare to other people who are even more successful. So, they’re driven by this need to get bigger, need to stay significant because their reason for happiness is connected with the significance of their money or the business success, but they never get satisfaction because they always compare with somebody who’s bigger or better than themselves.

So, I hope this ring a bell for you. So, let’s say this is the conflict that you might be having or maybe your friends or family member is having. Then the typical situation is that in each of that inner conflict, there are different factors involved. I don’t go through everything here, but there are feelings, and there are inner voice or critical voice saying, “I have to fight back,” or “I’m small,” or maybe, “I’m unhappy,” inner voices.

Typically, it is connected with some traumatic event that happened in the past. You might have your picture of yourself when you’re little, and there’s some episode involved in a conflict, and there’s also some other people involved, and there’s some beliefs, disempowering beliefs involved. So, our aim through this meditation is to transform this episode, these disempowering beliefs into more positive ones, empowering beliefs.

I’m not going to go through all those details today because I just want you to experience this before going to details. Anyway, there are three strategies that you can handle this inner conflict. One is attention control. Meaning, when you have conflict, you can control your attention to not to look at the conflict, right? You can choose not to look at the conflict, not to listen to that inner voice, and just focus on positive. That’s possible. That works.

Many of those inner conflict just goes away if you keep looking at positive direction. Some of those inner conflicts can be really, really intense. So, even when you keep looking at other positive direction, some of those intense emotion or intense inner conflict still here and somehow, you need to handle it someday.

So, finding truth is another because many of such inner conflict is created because of misunderstanding or incorrect assumptions or wrong perspectives. So, if you find truths that can challenge the wrong assumptions or perspectives or belief, then when you know the truth, it can just resolve it. It can just go away. That’s the second approach in handling inner conflict. That’s also possible.

The third one is the one that I’m introducing, conflict resolution. We do this through short meditation, which I would like to experience today. Okay. So, how we do this conflict resolution is this. It’s basically three steps: listen, embrace, and transform. Again, you don’t need to remember this. You just need to follow my guidance. Okay. Let’s see.

Now, yeah, let’s try it. Let’s stop this presentation now. Okay. Whew! Are you with me? Okay. Now, there are two meditation. It’s a part one and part two meditation. So, part one meditation is to get you to really in a place where you feel like good space, happy space or very creative, resourceful space, which I call high potential state or peak state.

So, let’s do the first one because on the second one, we do conflict resolution, and we use this peak state in the second meditation, okay? So, the first meditation is a peak state meditation. In this meditation, I’m going to ask you to remember the moment, remember the moment that you felt fully alive in your life, fully alive.

What does it mean to be fully alive? You could say it is the happiest moment in your life or touchy moment or the moment that you performed really well or you’re engaged with moment fully and completely.

So, let me give you an example. My fully alive moment was back when I was 14 years old. We had this running competition. I was running. In my race, I was running with seven other people, and it was a team competition. So, I received the baton from my previous runner, and we were competing with seven other teams. When I received the baton, I was the seventh. Our team was the seventh out of eight different teams. I was the last runner.

When I received it, we were at the seventh out eight, seventh out of eight teams, and all my team members was like, “We’re losing this game. We are losing this race.” They’re so discouraged, disappointed because we were always losing the game back then. When I received the baton, suddenly, I had this desire or strong motivation to really win this game. I started running so fast, so energized, and I was passing many other teams one-by-one, and right before the goal, it was maybe five meters before the goal, I was running right next to the first runner, first team, and my last foot, last foot to the goal that I finally able to pass the first team, and I became the first one, first out of eight teams, and we won the race at the first rank.

I was so happy. It was beyond happiness. It was like everyone in my team was jumping around. All the audience, we had hundreds of audience for the race, all the audience was so excited to see me passing all other teams and became the number one in the race. Many people were jumping around and getting inspired to see something that seems impossible became possible.

At the moment, I felt connection with many people in that place with hundreds of people. I felt oneness. I felt inspiration. It is a very interesting moment. It’s not just about I was inspiring others. It was this feeling that I became the inspiration, energy or inspiration. That was my fully alive moment. I was fully in the moment, and I felt I was performing above and beyond my usual performance. That was my peak performance moment.

So, I don’t know. For you, it could be maybe the moment when you have the first baby. That’s very divine moment, right? It could be the moment that you felt you are performing really well at your workplace or you went through a very challenging period and you went through it, and you have this fulfillment after accomplishing something. Maybe that’s your peak moment. So, I like you to remember one of such peak moment or fully alive moment in this meditation. Okay? I hope I’m clear about this. Okay.

Peak State Meditation

Let’s do this, anyway. Let me record this. Okay. So, let’s do this peak state meditation. Take a relaxing position. Close your eyes. Let’s take one deep breath. Let me give you this sound. Okay. I like you to bring your attention to your breath. Breathing in, breathing out. Okay.

Now, when you breathe out, bring your attention to your heart and keep your attention to your heart. Feel your heart, its rhythm, its warmth, its aliveness. If you like, you can put your hand on your heart, so that you can feel it better. Okay.

Now, I like you to imagine that this warmth, this heart has a color. What color would it be? Then I like you to imagine this energy of your heart is expanding, and I like you to imagine going inside of your heart, inside of this energy. Inside of your heart, there’s a huge, beautiful place. You’re feeling the warmth, peace. Okay?

Now, I like you to remember the moment, moment in your life that you’ve felt fully alive. Remember the moment that you felt fully alive. Remember the place, the environment, the people around you. What are the lights, sound? Remember what the actions that you’re doing in that moment. If you see some other people around you, remember the interaction or conversation with other people.

Now, I like you to bring your attention to your feeling. How do you feel in this moment? How do you describe this feeling? Great. Now, in this moment, what are the kind of values or qualities that you are experiencing? Are you experiencing excitement or divinity, peace, inspiration or maybe something else? Okay.

Now, you’re feeling these feelings. You’re experiencing these values, qualities. When you are being this person, who are other people who are benefiting from you? How are they benefiting from you? Maybe you are inspiring them, empowering them. Maybe you’re helping them to feel peace, hope. Okay.

Now, as you are going through this moment, who are you becoming? How do you describe yourself? Are you becoming being of inspiration? Are you becoming being of love? How would you describe yourself? Okay?

Now, I like you to feel this moment again. So, if this moment, this energy has a color, what color would it be? Now, I like you to imagine this energy with this color is coming to your body, coming to your presence as like a shower of light to your body, to your presence today, bringing your entire body, entire being to be this energy of your peak state. Let’s take one deep breath, and open your eyes.

Okay. I hope you enjoyed it. It was longer than I anticipated, but that should be okay. Yeah, we have time to do the next one. Great. Is everyone okay? Did it work? Please post some comment. I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. Okay.

Anyway, until I see your comments, let me … Daria, good. Good that you enjoyed it. Julia, thank you. I’m glad that you enjoyed it, too. Insight? You had the insight, Daria. Hmm. I’m curious what insight it might be. Wow! Okay. Elena, hmm. I wish I could read Russian language. I’m working on it.

Anyway, let me move on to the next one, next meditation, which is conflict resolution. This is probably a little longer or maybe almost the same duration. Agnes, oh, great! You felt love and peace. Phew! I’m glad.

So, the next one is conflict resolution. So, before we get into this meditation, I like you to just pick one situation or one inner conflict that you might want to heal today. Maybe it’s this anger that you carry somewhere in your heart or this feeling of sadness or maybe this inner critic, inner voice that keeps telling you, “Don’t do it. Don’t do it.”

So, for the next one, just pick one situation, one feeling or emotion that you like to heal because we’re going to use that as a subject for this meditation. Okay? Ready? Okay. Let’s get started. Let’s do it. Hopefully, you are ready. Let’s start recording. Okay.

Conflict Resolution Meditation

Now, let’s take a relaxing position again. Take one deep breath. This time, we’re going into this meditation for conflict resolution. Let me give you this sound. Bring your attention to your breath. When you breathe out, move your attention to your heart, and feel your heart, its rhythm, warmth. Okay.

Now, this time, I like you to remember the situation or feeling, emotion or inner voice that you like to resolve and feel the feeling somewhere in your body. Where do you feel the situation or the emotion or inner critic voice? Where do you feel it in your body? Okay?

Now, I like you to imagine that this feeling has a color. This feeling is an energy that has a color somewhere in your body. Now, I like you to imagine looking inside of this energy, this energy of the situation, energy of the feeling. I like you to imagine looking inside of this energy and find somebody. Find yourself. Typically, it is yourself in the past or when you are little. Sometimes it’s somebody. It could be somebody else, but mostly, it’s yourself. Okay.

So, this person is part of yourself. It is part of you with this energy that is trapped here and asking for your attention. So, today, I like you to step in to this person and give the attention and listen because this person has something to tell you, and that’s why this person is here. So, I like you to come close to this person and just listen.

Say, “Hi. What happened? What do you want to tell me?” and listen. I’ll give you some moment to listen.

Okay. Now, I hope you were able to listen well, listen well to this person. Now, I like you to imagine coming even closer to this person. Come closer to this person and bring out this feeling of compassion for this person. This person needs help. This person is asking for help. Just bring out this feeling of love and compassion, and give a hug to this person. Hug this person in your imagination and say, “It’s okay. You’re okay. You are safe. I am here for you, and I love you.” Hug this person and see how this person is reacting to the hugging, how this person is reacting to your words. Okay?

Now, I like you to remember the peak state moment that we experienced in the previous meditation, the peak state moment, the energy and the color of the peak state moment, the fully alive moment. I like you to go there again, but this time, I like you to go there with this person that you found in the energy. Go to the peak state moment. Go to the fully alive moment together with this person and let this person experience the peak state moment and see how this person transforms.

Now, I like you to feel this energy of peak state, fully alive moment, fully and completely in your body, in your presence, receiving this energy of peak state like a shower of light coming in to your body, to your entire presence. Okay.

Now, when you’re ready, when you’re ready, take one deep breath and come back to this webinar.

Okay. So, that’s it. That’s the meditation. This is the one that I received when I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I was able to overcome that emotional challenge through this meditation. There are some more extensive way to do the same meditation. This can even go deeper healing, but this one we just did today is also very effective, I believe.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed. I’m curious to know how you experienced it. Let me give you some more information. Yeah. As you’re coming back to this webinar and maybe you can enter some comments, let me go over some information I like to share with you. I have some workshops and webinars planned out.
